If the company application is not accepted, I want to apply to independent work permit. In same period, can I apply for the independent work permit? Best regards. Susan.”

“Dear Orhan,
I would like to ask few questions about real estate rental agreements. I have an apartment in Turkey (at Alanya). How is a rental agreement drawn up? Does the agreement be made in writing? How does the rental payments in Turkey (weekly or monthly)? Can we edit the agreement in German? Best wish. Nicole.”

You can edit the agreement in German.
Whom is not given the resident permit?
The last question is about resident permit. Hassan asks;
“Dear Sadettin Orhan;
I am not living in Turkey, but I want it. I researched about permit procedure. I wonder, categorically, whom is not given the resident permit? How many years are given residence permits? Thank you very much. Hassan.”
Dear Hassan, in Turkey, residence permits are not given for all foreigners. So applications for residence permits by the following persons will be refused;
· Persons coming to practice a profession prohibited to foreigners,
· Persons not in a position to conform to Turkish law, customs, or political conditions,
· Persons clearly unable to secure legally the material support necessary for the duration of their desired stay in Turkey,
· Persons who have entered Turkey illegally,
· Persons whose presence in Turkey is disruptive of the general peace and tranquility.
If you are not within these categories, you can apply the resident permit. The most long-term resident permit is granted for five years. However, usually two-year residence permit is given in the first application. After the expiry of the residence permit, it can be renewed four times. Persons who wish to extend this period must apply again to the security authorities within fifteen days of the expiration of their residence permits. They may also apply before their residence permits expire. After fourth, you can not renew your resident permit. 30 Oct. 2010
